The lyrics I chose for this project are “No Such Thing” by John Mayer. I chose these lyrics because I like the meaning of this song and I can really relate to the meaning of what John Mayer is talking about. I relate to this song because, John Mayer talks about being himself and not having to live up to anyone’s expectations but his own. He never tried to be someone for anyone, he was himself and true to what he believed in. In many ways that is how I feel about many situations in life. I am myself, no matter what people think about me, and I will never attempt to be something I am not to make someone happy. A lot of these stereo types are all lies anyway, who said that the popular kid in school is going to turn out better than his classmates. There are people who search for answers within books, but when all else fails they do not know what to do. These lyrics make me feel, like what I belief has a little truth and that I should believe it.
