Light meter is used to tell the camera what he brightest subject or light it must use. so the camera knows how much light there will be in the picture. in the first picture i measured the light of my partners cheek and so the brightest light that the camera would offer and capture. in the second picture i only measured the light of the computer so the only light that was captured was the screens and everything darker did not get captured. if i am in a dark place and i want my face to come out this would help me out in the future.
